Free door hanger mockups

A door hanger is a tall card with a hole punched near the top and a slot cut down to it, so it drops over a handle and stays put. That cut-out is the design constraint: the top few centimetres are taken up by the hole, so nothing important goes up there — the artwork has to start below it and work around a gap in the middle of the card. It's read at arm's length, one person at a time, at the moment they open a door, which is a level of attention almost no other print gets.

Both sides earn their keep, because a hanger flips as it's handled — the front to catch the eye on the handle, the back for the detail once it's picked up. The classic ones are the hotel "do not disturb" and housekeeping cards, but they carry a lot of local marketing too: takeaway menus, cleaning and lawn services, real estate, political canvassing, anything left on a neighbourhood of handles instead of pushed through letterboxes. Seeing it actually hung, with the die cut in place, is how you check nothing vital is sitting where the hole is.
