This is graphics you walk up to and stand inside — the printed walls of a trade-show stand, a booth backdrop, a step-and-repeat behind a podium, the branded panels of an exhibition space. Unlike a poster or a billboard, it isn't a single framed image; it's a whole surface, often several metres wide, that a person approaches, walks past and stands in front of. So it works on two distances at once: a headline and a logo that land from across the hall to pull people in, and detail that holds up close once they're standing at the stand.
Scale is unforgiving, which is the real reason to mock it up. Blown up to wall size, a low-resolution image turns soft, a slightly-off colour becomes a whole wall of it, and generous type suddenly feels timid against all that space — every decision gets amplified. There's also the practical business of panels: large graphics are printed in sections and butt together, so a seam can land straight through a face or a wordmark if the artwork isn't planned around it. Seeing it built into a real stand, at scale, catches both — while it's still a file and not a printed wall you can't take back.
In the sets: the graphic shown on a stand wall or backdrop in an exhibition setting, straight on and at an angle, so you can present a design in context or on its own. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the wall, structure, lighting and shadow untouched.
