This is the brochure end of the tri-fold, not the rack end. Every panel is a whole Letter page, so instead of six narrow columns you're laying out a six-page document — room for full-bleed photography, a page per product, a spec table that doesn't have to be abbreviated. It's what real estate, hotels, cars, machinery and capability brochures use when a folded sheet still has to feel like a proper piece of print.
The scale has practical consequences worth knowing early. Flat it's over two feet wide, so it's a commercial print job on a large sheet rather than something run in-house, and closed it needs a 9 × 12 envelope rather than the usual business one. In return you get a reveal no smaller fold can do: opened right out, the three inside panels read as one continuous panorama, which is why so many of these carry a single wide image or a map across the whole inside — the back of it can even work as a poster.
In the sets: closed on the cover, mid-open and laid flat from above, so you can present the cover and the full open spread together. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the folds, lighting and shadow untouched.
