The square business card
A square business card has equal sides — usually 55 × 55 mm or the 2.5 in square, a deliberate step away from the standard rectangle.

The whole appeal is that it isn't the usual rectangle. Hand someone a square in a stack of oblong cards and it stops the shuffle — the format does the standing-out before the layout gets involved, which is why it's a favourite for studios, photographers, boutiques, cafés and anyone whose brand leans design-forward. It also cuts from the same sheets as a rectangle, so it's no harder to produce; the trade is only that it won't tuck into a card wallet or a rolodex, which is rather the point.
Centred is the trap. With four equal sides the card has no built-in direction, so a logo dropped dead in the middle just floats — the square rewards a decision instead: a mark pinned to one corner, a strong horizontal split, type ranged hard left with air on the right, or a full-bleed graphic on one face. It takes beautifully to a single centred icon precisely because the shape frames it, and the back is where most of these carry that one bold logo while the front holds the details.
In the sets: front and back, held in a hand, stacked and shot close from above, so you can present the card clean or sit it in a real scene. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the stock, lighting and shadow untouched.
