This is the full card library before you settle on a size — and here the size is a small decision with a real effect, because a card is held twenty centimetres from the eye where a millimetre shows. The European 85 × 55 and the US 3.5 × 2 are the two everyday standards; longer sizes like 90 × 50 read sleek and modern; a square steps deliberately out of the wallet-shaped norm; and rounded corners soften the whole thing the moment it's picked up. None is better than another — they just set a slightly different first impression.
What every card here shares is how it's shown and built. Both faces are covered, since the split between an identity front and a detail-carrying back is where most of the design happens, and each is presented close up — held, stacked or flat — because at this scale the stock and finish carry as much as the layout. Files are layered PSDs with your artwork on a smart object, so a design drops in and the paper, lighting and shadow stay put.
