A label tag is a small card with a hole punched near one end and a string, twine or ribbon threaded through it, tied onto whatever it's labelling. The hole and its reinforced corner shape the layout — you design around a fixed point at the top, and the tag often has a die-cut form of its own, a rounded end, an angled cut, a shape that becomes part of the mark. It's small, so it carries a logo, a price or a line or two and not much more, read close up in the hand at the moment someone's deciding to buy or unwrap.
Where it lives sets the character. On clothing it's the swing ticket — brand on the front, size and price on the back, the first physical piece of a fashion label anyone touches. On a gift or a jar it turns handmade and warm: kraft card, a hand-lettered feel, twine instead of polyester string. Boutiques, bakeries, makers and craft brands lean on them because the material does so much of the talking — the stock, the string and the knot land before the print does, which is exactly why it helps to see the tag tied and hanging rather than flat on an artboard.
In the sets: the tag shown tied and hanging, flat and held, front and back, so you can present the design in place or on its own. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the card, string, texture and shadow untouched.
