The proportion is the thing to design to. At 1.75:1 it's a wide, low rectangle — a touch more elongated than most cards — and that horizontal bias suits a name and a wordmark sitting side by side, a logo anchored left with contact lines running right, a strong baseline across the width. Turned portrait it works too, but you're then fighting the shape a little, so the cleanest US layouts tend to go with the landscape grain rather than against it.
What sells it in the hand is the print and the paper: a thick uncoated stock, a soft-touch laminate, letterpress bite, foil, a painted edge or a rounded corner all register before anyone reads the type. The back is free real estate — a QR code, a tagline, a single graphic, or left as a solid block of brand colour. Matching the credit-card footprint is the quiet advantage: it sits flat in a wallet and won't get bent or trimmed at the corners the way an odd size does.
In the sets: front and back, held in a hand, fanned, stacked and shot close from above, so you can present the card clean or sit it in a real scene. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the stock, lighting and shadow untouched.
