Every panel here is a full page, which is what separates it from the smaller half-fold: you're not working narrow columns, you're laying out four Letter-sized pages with room for proper photography, a real headline and a page of copy underneath it. That's why it turns up for annual reports, product brochures, real estate listings, concert and theatre programs, and menus that want to look like a document rather than a handout — a four-page piece with no stapling, no spine and no bindery step.
Open it and the inside is a big landscape surface, 17 inches across, which is a lot of width for one image or a headline running the full span. The crease lands down the centre of that, so keep faces and small type clear of it. Worth checking the fold direction early too: the same tabloid sheet folded the other way gives a landscape cover instead, and the two read as completely different pieces before anyone opens them.
In the sets: closed on the cover and open flat, tented and shot from above, so you can present the cover page and the full inside spread in one go. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the fold, lighting and shadow untouched.
