These are the standing graphics of trade shows, conferences, receptions, shop entrances and pop-up stalls. A roll-up is the portable one — a tall printed sheet that winds out of a weighted base and packs back into it, up and down in seconds and carried in a bag. A banner is the broader family: the same idea stretched wider, hung from a wall, strung between poles or clamped to a stand. Both exist to be read standing up, from across a room or a street.
Designing for them is really about reading distance and the standing viewer. The top third does the heavy lifting — that's what lands at eye level before anyone walks over, so the logo and the message live up there, not down by the base where a table or a crowd hides them. Type has to hold from several metres back, which means big, few words, strong contrast, and detail kept clear of the very bottom. And because the artwork prints a metre or two tall, resolution and scale matter in a way a card never tests — a mockup shows whether it reads at size before it goes on a two-metre stand.
In the sets: the stand shown straight on and at an angle, in a room and against a clean backdrop, so you can present the graphic on its own or in a real setting. Each is a layered PSD with smart objects — the artwork sits on its own layer, so replacing it leaves the stand, lighting and shadow untouched.
